About Us
Participatory Development Alternatives (PDA) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Afikpo, and operating across Ebonyi State, Nigeria. It is a non-political, non-profit making, non-religious and non-discriminatory organization. It is established to provide alternative and participatory approaches to development, poverty eradication and transparent and accountable governance.
PDA seeks to facilitate a process of holistic development, building on the inherent capacities, competence and vision of the people with whom it works. PDA was established in 2004, and is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (RC 600631)
MISSION
We work with the poor and the excluded, especially women, young people and persons with disabilities to improve their livelihoods and live with dignity.
VISION
PDA envisages a Nigeria in which citizens are able to participate fully in the process of governance, improving their livelihoods and living with dignity.
FOCUS
Just and Democratic Governance, Health, Education Agriculture Women’s Rights Youth and Persons with Disability.

PDA have, in addition to the above, five dedicated programme, administrative and logistics staff as well as over 50 volunteers across the eleven communities where we work, enabling us to deliver our work accountably to communities as well as donors.
With your support, we can expand the impact of our advocacy work and our activities with poor and marginalised communities, especially women, young people and persons with disabilities, helping them to improve their livelihoods and dignity.
